Our Training Motorcycles
Choosing a motorcycle school often comes down to one question: what bikes will I learn on? Colorado Motorcycle Academy keeps a small, carefully maintained fleet so new riders can focus on skills—not wrestling an intimidating or poorly maintained machine.
Small, light, and in excellent condition
Our training motorcycles are intentionally small and light, kept in excellent mechanical condition, and largely late-model—with several machines nearly brand new. While student feedback across rider education often notes tired, worn-out equipment elsewhere, we invest in clean, dependable motorcycles. That combination helps students master clutch control, smooth shifting, positive braking, and low-speed balance with confidence during the MSF Basic Rider Course and other motorcycle classes.
Bikes in our fleet
- CFMoto Papio SS — compact, modern, and approachable for brand-new riders
- Kawasaki Z125 Pro — nimble, responsive learner-friendly platform
- Yamaha TW200 (late-model) — iconic, confidence-inspiring dual-purpose trainer
- Honda XR150L — dependable, lightweight dual-sport trainer with an easy clutch
- Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 — an approachable mid-size option for taller riders
Exact bike assignment depends on the course, availability, and rider fit. Let us know when you enroll if you have questions about seat height or ergonomics.
Clutch-based training focus
- Clutch-equipped two-wheel motorcycles: All training bikes use a standard manual clutch so you graduate with real riding skills.
- No three-wheel or automatic training: We do not offer three-wheel or automatic training at this time.
Successful completion of our state-certified courses earns the waiver needed for your Colorado motorcycle endorsement.
Classes that actually run year-round
We do not cancel for low enrollment—we teach even if only one student is enrolled. Thanks to Pueblo’s milder southern Colorado climate with less snow and warmer temperatures than Colorado Springs or Denver, Colorado Motorcycle Academy runs classes year-round. We keep our late-model training fleet meticulously maintained in every season so you can get certified whenever you’re ready to ride. Cancellations are reserved only for rare unsafe weather or true emergencies.
