About this one-day Colorado motorcycle course
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course II (BRC II) is a one-day intensive (Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM) class for experienced riders in Pueblo, CO. Classes run year-round, and we teach even if only one student is enrolled (canceling only for rare severe weather or emergency). Pass both the state skills and knowledge tests and you earn the waiver for your Colorado motorcycle endorsement. Not sure which class is right for you?
Mandatory Skills Screening Up Front
You must pass a mandatory skills and maneuvers assessment to continue the course. This is the very first exercise on the range Friday morning. If you do not have current clutch experience or cannot demonstrate low-speed control, please enroll in the 2-day Basic Rider Course (BRC) instead.
Key Requirements & Logistics
- Motorcycles & Eligibility: We provide a training motorcycle with a manual clutch. We do not offer three-wheel motorcycles or automatic scooters. (Graduation earns an endorsement valid for two- or three-wheel motorcycles in Colorado.)
- eCourse: Complete the MSF eCourse before class (link emailed after registration). Present your completion certificate at check-in (print or screenshot). Valid for 30 days.
- Registration: Provide date of birth and driver’s license info at checkout for post-class DMV processing.
- Gear: Bring a DOT-approved helmet (half helmets not allowed), eye protection, long sleeves or jacket, long pants, gloves, and over-the-ankle boots. Need help choosing motorcycle gear?
- Minors: Students under 18 require a parent/guardian present on day one. Both student and guardian ID and phone numbers are needed for gate access.
- Facility Access: A security barcode or gate code will be texted the day before class. See directions and access details on our PuebloPlex access instructions page.
- Military: Verify on-base riding requirement compliance with your leadership. The BRC II often qualifies for advanced riding refresher requirements.
