Motorcycle Training FAQ
Quick answers about learning to ride with Colorado Motorcycle Academy in Pueblo, CO—covering class cancellations, year-round schedules, training bikes, and what we do (and don’t) offer.
Do you run classes year-round?
Yes. Colorado Motorcycle Academy holds classes year-round. Pueblo’s climate is noticeably warmer and sees far less snow than Colorado Springs, Denver, and mountain areas, allowing us to maintain an active riding and training calendar through all four seasons so you don’t have to wait for summer to get licensed.
Do you cancel motorcycle classes for low enrollment?
No. We teach even if only one student is enrolled. We cancel only for rare inclement weather or emergencies—not because the roster is small.
Why take a motorcycle class in Pueblo instead of closer to Colorado Springs or Denver?
Pueblo is generally much warmer than Colorado Springs and sees less snow than much of Colorado, which supports more usable training days year-round. Destination riders from Denver, Alamosa, Grand Junction, and southern Colorado regularly train with us at PuebloPlex.
What bikes do you provide?
Our training fleet is small, light, and easy to ride, in excellent condition, late-model, with many brand new. Models often include the CFMoto Papio SS, Kawasaki Z125 Pro, late-model Yamaha TW200, Honda XR150L, and one larger Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 (availability by course).
Do you teach three-wheel motorcycles or automatics?
Not at this time. We do not offer three-wheel motorcycle training, and we do not provide motorcycles without a clutch. All training bikes are clutch-equipped two-wheel motorcycles.
How do I get my Colorado motorcycle endorsement?
Complete the MSF Basic Rider Course or Basic Rider Course II and pass the required skills and knowledge exams. We’re a state-certified provider administering the testing pathway commonly associated with MOST / MSF Basic Rider Course completion in Colorado.
